For the last eight years, Anthony Valdez has been helping families find the best loans possible to buy or refinance real estate. Anthony has now brought his experience to Waterstone Mortgage Corp.

Anthony started as a loan officer in 2003. He quickly learned the business of lending, became a top loan officer and was awarded a branch management position. In 2004, Anthony and a business associate opened an independent branch for Guild Mortgage Company.

As a producing loan officer and branch operations manager, Anthony helped to create a team of loan officers that closed in excess of $12 million in mortgage loans per month.

Anthony has utilized his past experience to help his clients successfully obtain mortgages. With the constant changes in the mortgage lending industry, Anthony prides himself keeping on top of all program guidelines (FHA, VA, USDA and conventional loan programs). This allows him to recommend the best loan for each client's individual situation. Working with Anthony is working with an expert mortgage banker.

Anthony, also known as Tony, was born in Arizona but grew up in Los Angeles. In 1976, he joined the Army, traveled the world and was honorably discharged at the end of 1982 in Boston. He moved back to Arizona in 1989 where he met his wife of 19 years. He and his wife have six children -- two boys and four girls. When he's not at work, Tony enjoys camping with his family, cooking and "fixin' stuff."

Also, although his Spanish isn't perfect, Tony considers himself to be "somewhat bilingual," and he is continually learning.
